The Glory Days
This blog is about friendship, about the little incidents that make us laugh , cry ,forgive ,get angry ,about incidents that remind us to enjoy life every moment.Incidents that are forgotten as we grow old .This blog will help us reminisce the memories and smile when we look back at our lives..Never cry coz its over , smile coz it happened.

A Good Deal

By Chowdapa

I came back from college one day , around 3pm ..yeah , in final year , we came and went to college as we pleased.. and I found the house locked !! where were RD and Yaz?? have they gone for a movie without me ?? are they partying without me??
These were the questions that were racing in my mind.i called up RD and and i was told in RD's loud baritone " guns .we are on the way home ..bass aur kuch mat pooch .get ready to be amazed .." and then i could hear yaz in the background shouting "yeahhhh" and then RD giving him company with a "oh yeahhh" of his own ..excited college boys , sigh ..

I waited patiently at home ,or in other words , i slept..i woke up to the sound of the doorbell getting fucked ..sumone was at the door , too excited that they were not taking the hands off the bell..obviously it was RD and yaz ..in came the two monsters, with lots of shopping bags and i mean lots ..obviously i asked them
" wassup guys ?? so much shopping ?? u never told me u were so stinkingly rich"..and they looked at each other and laughed and yaz said " pooor innocent guns, tch tch " shaking his head , and sitting comfortably on the chair in the drawing room ..

Then out came the merchandise..it seems they had gone to CP, and bought 4 shirts each, 3 t-shirts each,4 gym vests each, shorts and barring underwear , all sorts of clothing ..and RD was all excited and was asking me " bata guns , basssss bata , how much for all this ..JUSSSSST guess."..i said " 2000 bucks??" and sumwhere deep down , I knew no matter wat I would've said I was gonnna be ridiculed.."hahahaha" roared RD , with Yaz pointing a finger at me n laughing.."guns , bacchha hai be tu, kuch nahi pata tujhe.." more laughter and HI- fives among the two of them ..finally , after the din of the laughter subsided , RD said they had bought all that for 500 bucks.. I was shocked , surprised ..THAT is a good deal.. I also joined in the excitement, and was actually feeling left out that i missed out on such a good opportunity..

I urged them to try the new clothes on ..RD went to change first, took all the 4 shirts he had bought.. yaz was rummaging through his stuff when we heard RD shout " ohhh SHIITTTT" , we rushed to his room , and found RD wearing the new shirt..
It was supposed to be a full shirt , but wat he was wearing was neither full, nor half, the cuffs ended sumwhere in between.. I asked him if it was supposed to be a half shirt , and he just looked at me ..he tried the next shirt, and this was a little better, one arm was as long as a full shirt's , while the other ended in between, again !

He tried his t-shirt and it was as if it was tailored keeping two people in mind..
one side was tight as if it was made for a child , the other side was loose as if it was made for a really big man ..RD was muttering the usual " kyaa yaaaar , SHITT and other curses and abuses".

Every item bought had sum defect ..finally only the shorts were left ..he checked it thoroughly, nothing wrong ..thank god , we all sighed..he tried those on ..A PERFECT FITT...ohh yeahhh..
RD was holding his cellfone in his hands..he planned to keep it in his short's pocket and as soon as he did, it slid down and fell on his feet , with a clang and dismantled...RD was almost in tears, and the abuses flowed oh so smooothly ..I always looked at the positive side of things..RD was reassembling his fone, and i gently told him " look at the bright side..its more airy and if it itches over there, it's easier to reach " ...and i ran ..

To add insult to injury, watever yaz bought fit him nicely!!! RD tried his best to switch some stuff with yaz , but "apna banda chowda banda , yaz" was too quick and took all his stuff in one big heave and ran inside his room and shut it..
RD was left standing at the door , wearing "AIRY" shorts and a t-shirt that constricted one side of his chest so much that, well he din't look very manly ,is all I can say ..:)
