Films have a profound effect on children , but i got to know the extent to which it affects people when the following happened ..The whole gang had met up in karol bagh, sheetad had to buy something..after the shopping was done, RD and i decided to leave since i had some work at home ..while we were going towards the metro station, there was a procession going on d road, guess it was some religious event that day , devotional songs were being played at a blaring volume ..coming to my point , "sarkar" had just released ,and it was one of my favorite movies ..RD was also all praises for it, and at times we would try and mimic some of the actors in the movie ..anyways, we were walking and both of us were looking at the procession ..RD was walking in front of me , and all of a sudden RD barged into a man , who was eating chaat ..the chaat fell ..i stopped on my tracks , a few steps away, expecting a heated confrontation ...wat happened next had such an uncanny resemblance with SARKAR, it was deja vu !! RD did not utter a word of apology , he just raised his big hand , just like AMITABH does in the movie when he is addressing the crowd..and just stood like that, rite in front of the man, and the "govinda govinda " chant was going on in the procession, in the background, with RD standing like sarkar , his hand raised ..The man just looked at RD,perplexed and wide eyed , almost asking " wats with the hand???" ..i came out of my trance, and slapped RD on the head and we resumed walking .. i told RD , " sarkar is a movie , it is not real " , but RD still believes that he has the potential to be "sarkar" ..lol ..i guess when RD will raise his hand , people will stop and look up at him with respect , not coz he is sarkar , but just coz HE HAS HUGE HANDS..:)
